L'aquaculture en Grande-Bretagne
Résumé
An historical outline of mariculture in Great Britain is presented. Techniques, accomplishments and general problems are described: (1) Seafishes; (2) Marine invertebrates (shrimp, prawn, bivalves); (3) Salmonidae. For various reasons (fluctuations in financial support, problems with respect to the choice of spp, sometimes poor co-ordination between fundamental university research and development), progress has been irregular. Except for the Salmonidae, trials carried out on lab or semi-industrial scales have not yet lead to important developments and the commercial production of marine animals
