Catalytic synthesis of glycerol derivatives of first, second and third generation using thin film reactor/separator

Zephirin Z. Mouloungui

Résumé

Glycerol carbonate, glycidol, monoesters of glycerol or glycerol carbonate and monoesters of glycerol carbonate are the building block molecules of the two processes for the valorization of glycerol. Their synthesis occurred in cascade in pseudo-heterogeneous acid catalysis or in heterogeneous acid catalysis depending if the catalytic system was governed by the Bronsted acid sites and / or Lewis acid sites of the pseudo-homogeneous or solid acid catalysts. Reaction systems are multicomponent. They create thermal thin fluid in a thin film reactor. Under the combined effect of temperature and pressure, this leads to the intensification of chemical reaction who acts in one-pot. In situ, unit steps of reaction and separation generates high yields and selectivities in glycerylic synthons with high quality grade
