Résumé
It is a pleasure, indeed, to be part of this Special Redox Biology Issue of Molecular Plant—a journal yet to celebrate its second birthday. The harvest of papers is rich indeed: 17 research articles and four reviews covering a range of topics that will be divided and published in two separate issues of Molecular Plant—the current (Vol. 2, No. 2) and subsequent (Vol. 2, No. 3) issues. Many of the contributions deal with redox regulation— a field that has grown beyond all expectation since its inception in the 1960s in studies on photosynthesis. The topics span the spectrum from fundamental findings to agricultural applications. In view of its rising international stature, it seems appropriate that this issue is published in China.
